One of the things we love most about public relations is when it allows space for conversations that actually matter. During Native American Heritage Month, c3 Communications, Inc. (c3) secured our longtime client and friend Ruth-Ann Thorn, a proud tribal member of the Rincon Band of Luiseño Indians (Payómkawichum), on KUSI to talk about why this month, and Native visibility in general, truly matters, not just in San Diego, but everywhere. Watch the segment HERE.
The segment went beyond marking a date on the calendar. Ruth-Ann shared perspective, history, and lived experience, opening an honest conversation about Native culture, why representation matters, and how people can meaningfully honor Native American Heritage Month. It was thoughtful, educational, and rooted in truth. That authenticity and heartfelt message is what makes people tune in and listen.
We have helped Ruth-Ann tell her voice and story in a truly passionate manner. That’s where strong media relations come in, knowing what a good story is and helping clients tell them genuinely, so people notice.
This segment is a great example of how public relations can be used thoughtfully, educate, create awareness, and give space to voices that deserve to be heard. Helping leaders like Ruth-Ann step into moments like this is a big part of why we do what we do.
For more than 25 years, c3 has worked alongside clients who care deeply about their communities and the stories they share. We are always happy to help elevate those stories and reach our client’s target audience, in the right way, to make a meaningful impact.
